Today at lunch little Robi-bird prayed this prayer....
And help the mommies not to kill their babies and give them to us because we love babies.
Now, we are absolutely anti-abortion, pro-adoption but it is not a topic of conversation around our kids. (Not on purpose, it's just never come up.) I went around the table questioning the girls and Mitch if she had prayed this way prompted by something she had heard them pray or even say - nada.
I am overwhelmed by the fact that she truely must have prayed this way prompted by the Holy Spirit Himself. Two and half years ago, I started having a desire to adopt at some point. (I'd NEVER thought about it before then.)
I'm starting to think God really does have a plan that includes adoption for our family! Your will be done, Jesus!

That is so sweet! What a great little heart she must have to be so open to the spirit.. so young!
I hear you on the adoption thing. My husband and I feel like that may be in our future, as our kids get older. Like you said, "his will be done."
Holy Spirit did prompt her. He's so moving right now. How awesome. Did you read the post on Hippie Chic about their 6 year old travailing over abortion? So good.
I did read that post. Way cool. I'm totally pumped about God moving in the younger generation. And very sober about preparing my ladies to know how to move with Him.
Father;
I just pray that you would lead and guide this family as your will would have. Lord, as you know my heart is adoption, I pray that you would open doors for them and give them the peace and knowledge they need to begin the process. I pray that financially you would enable them to walk in your plan. I thank you that you put desires in our heart and that you give us the wisdom and strength to follow you. Bless them Lord and bless all of their children. May they know you early and may they walk all of their days in obedience and in love for You. Your Kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
In Jesus' Name
amen
